As a result of a unique relationship with the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture, all code contributions that are in pursuit of enhancing online arts courses that are delivered via the "ELMS" platform are able to be contributed as 100% open source.
Contributions in this course have implications of benefiting multiple external partners as well as internal ones like IST, Eberly and other colleges. All software accepted into the lrnwebcomponents code base (which ELMS uses for its rendering layer) is 100% open source and we leverage the Apache 2.0 license in order to maximize adoption by others.
