I am a Professor of Physics. I work on experiments with atomic and quantum systems, using lasers to cool and manipulate atoms and molecules for quantum simulations.
I originally hail from upstate NY, and I did my undergraduate and graduate studies in NY as well (BA at Colgate University, PhD at Stonybrook University). I spent time as a post-doctoral fellow in Colorado and then began my academic career at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I've recently moved to State College with my wife, three kids, and dog.
I will introduce myself in more details in our first discussion board, and I look forward to your introductions there as well!

Everything you need each week can always be found on the homepage on Canvas. The course is divided into weekly lessons. Each lessons will typically have:
