As part of our highlight of the College of Arts & Architecture, as you reflect on the kinds of conversations and presentations you'll be submitting for the both online and in-person conferences; we're asking you to consider some additional lenses and how they might apply to our collective work.
There are a few video formats and types that we are hoping for a committed response from our community members. The aim of these in format and function is to create a greater sense of presence within the community as well as to creatively expand our craft through the application of play and frivolity.
The Water Cooler Challenge is designed to achieve a few different things. Flex a unit's technical and creative aptitude, provide an opportunity to express the members and personality of your team, and to provide a team building exercise that can be completed regardless of proximities.
Submit a shared link via YouTube Videos should average approximately 5-10 minutes.
Think of these as movie trailers to your presentation and what it means.

This will be synchronous sessions via Discord. All topics will be considered, the committee will reach out for more information after submission. They should be open conversations or standard presentations best given synchronously. They will be scheduled and available for all to join via the website and Discord.
The classics are classic for a reason, right? LDSC doesn't have learning tracks, so all considerations will be reviewed before acceptance, but only for moderation purposes. If you choose to submit to this track, the planning committee will reach out to you if there are questions.
